As we enter into the final months of this wonderful, unique year in the life of BUMC, we are celebrating the many great things God has done in us and through us this past year while planning the ways that we can make 2025 a time of even greater blessing and generosity. We will focus on Jesus as our Great High Priest during this stewardship season and how Christ, as our Great High Priest, gives us the ability to think about, dream about, reach for, and attain Higher Things. God is doing great things among us, let’s press in and let the Holy Spirit guide us to even Higher Things.
As we navigate through our Fall Bible Study, Rooted: Life in Rhythm, we are using the books of James and Hebrews to help us understand what the rhythms and flows that come from a life that is surrendered to Christ and how that impacts every relationship that we have including those at home, the workplace, and the social circles we find ourselves in.
Our August Sermon series is called Bread of Life. We will look at the words of Jesus in John 6 where he says, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” Our prayer for you, our church, and our community is to see and understand that Christ is enough in every sphere of our lives and that we have all that we need in Jesus.
BUMC is asking the question, “What is your favorite story from the Bible?” Each Sunday you’ll hear from one of our church members as they tell us one of thier favorite Bible stories and lead us in a time of prayer as well as the favorite stories from Pastors Betsy and Jordan as well as some guest preachers.
