What Is Rooted?

Rooted is a 10-week discipleship experience that will introduce us to 7 Rhythms of a disciple modeled in Acts 2. Through Bible study, conversation, and learning experiences, you’ll be challenged to step outside your comfort zone and to live out your faith.  It begins with a 4-week Large Group Study on Sunday mornings, followed by 6-week small groups that meet at various times throughout the week.

Rooted Large Group Study

The Rooted Large Group Study begins September 15 and will meet on Sunday mornings from 10:00-11:00am for four weeks this fall (September 15-October 6). The Pastors will be leading the study in the Fellowship Hall, and the idea is to have EVERYONE participate!

Rooted Small Groups

Following the Large Group Study, everyone will dig deeper as part of a Rooted Small Group Study for six weeks in October and November. If you’re already part of a Sunday school class at Bellaire, you’ll be able to work through the Rooted materials on Sundays with your class. But if you’re not part of one yet, you’ll have the chance to connect with an existing group or join one of several new groups forming this fall (both on Sunday mornings and during the week). Again, the goal is to have EVERYONE in a group.  Sign ups begin on September 15.

Rooted Rhythms

Grounded in God’s Word, the 7 Rhythms are the foundation of the Rooted experience. Each of these rhythms was practiced by the early church in Acts 2. When we commit to practicing the 7 Rhythms in community like the early church, we see growth and transformation in both our personal lives and in our communities.
