Research over decades has proven time and again that young children learn about the world through play experiences. For more than 70 years, School for Little Children has remained steadfast in its belief and practice that children learn through play. Here, you will find children and teachers deeply engaged in meaningful, developmentally appropriate, and fun ways to learn every day.

School for Little Children declares play as the right of all children, and we place it at the center of our curriculum. We honor play because:
