About
I am a native Houstonian. I have been married 25 years (as of June, 2010) to my high school sweetheart, Mary. We have two sons, Josh and David, who are in college. My passion, other than taking care of family – is to introduce people to Jesus.

I Was Born… right here in Houston, Texas and grew up in Sugar Land, Texas. Native to the area, I have seen a lot of changes in my relatively short life. I just don’t think of myself as being old enough to say, “I remember when. . .” But there has been a number of significant changes in the area, country and world. All these changes effect how the Church reaches people telling them about the love of God.
On the way to church the other day… while this sounds like the beginning of a joke …what I see is the world -the good and the bad and that is no joke. There are serious issues all around us that are life and death. We as followers of Jesus Christ need to be part of the solution not a continuation of the problems.
My biggest challenge is… like most people’s: trying to make heads or tails of what is going on around us without becoming overwhelmed. What helps me get through it is my faith in God. Life would be moe than just a challenge if I did not know that God is at work in my life.
My favorite Bible verse is... John 21:5-9
He called out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water. The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards. When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.
“No,” they answered.
The one thing I want people to realize when they come to Bellaire UMC is… there is something here for everyone.
My favorite children’s book is… Green Eggs and Ham because it brings up great memories of reading it to my children.
My last meal would be… with my family and it would either be ordering fajitas at Pappasito’s or the 5 1/2 extra spicy from Hong Kong Chef – Check, please!
