Do This In Remembrance of Me
Beginning September 1, two new worship services will be added to the BUMC schedule. These informal services will include scripture reading, prayers of the people, homily, song, and Holy Communion. Both the 12:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. services will be held in the Chapel. A sack lunch will be available for those attending the 12:15 service and a light supper will be served at 5:45 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, prior to the evening service. The BUMC Worship Team invites you to make Wednesday Worship at 12:15 or 6:15 p.m. a regular part of your week. Come and be filled.
Wanted: Enthusiastic Cooks for Wednesday Worship Suppers
Looking for an outreach project? This is an invitation to all adult Sunday School classes or other small groups at BUMC to volunteer to prepare and serve a simple light supper prior to our new Wednesday Worship that begins on September 1. We also will invite our ESL students to enjoy supper with us prior to their classes on Wednesday evenings.
The BUMC Food Ministry Team has volunteered to prepare suppers for the first Wednesday of each month and the sack lunches for the noontime services. That leaves about 40 open Wednesday suppers during the year! Talk it over and then say “yes!” Sign-up sheets will be placed in your Sunday School binders during August. Questions?
