At its most basic level, to “go green” means to make choices that reduce the impact on the earth. “Green” choices model and promote sustainable practices both individually and collectively.
Here is how Bellaire UMC is playing its part:
PAPER
We have recycle boxes around the building - including ones outside our worship services - ready to collect your paper products. We also have two recycle dumpsters located in the back parking lot.
RETIRED CELL PHONES and EQUIPMENT
The Community Services Ministry collects these items for the Houston Women's Center to help victims of domestic violence. The collection box is located in the church office copy room.
PRINTER CARTRIDGES
Laser or ink jet, black or color ink - the Audio Visual Ministry is collecting these used items in the fellowship hall.
BOX TOPS for EDUCATION
Look for the 10¢ Box Tops coupon on hundreds of your favorite products and bring them into the church. Community Services Ministry passes these on to Cunningham Elementary School.
USED DEVOTIONALS
Community Services Ministry gathers these for the women's division of the Harris County Jail.
