Jessica’s Table
Jessica’s table is a place I can eat good food. It is hot, and I get fresh, clean water to drink. The people here tell me how much Jesus loves me and my family. I feel safe and cared for. That makes me happy. My Mom enjoys coming, too. It makes her glad to see me eat. She knows she is loved and welcome here. The church is listening to us. The church is helping us make our lives better. We are all working together for the things we need.
Fed in body, mind and spirit
Jessica’s Table is a program we have developed and implemented in Malis, Philippines. Twice a week, 200 children gather together and are fed a nutritious meal and learn about how much Jesus loves them. In this place where people have so little, Jessica’s Table serves to bring hope for a brighter future.
Jessica’s Table has been so successful in its task of bringing hope that we are now launching the Philippine Initiative 2011, which will bring similar programs to four additional marginalized communities in the Philippines.
