Adult Ministries

Bellaire UMC has many opportunities for adults to have fellowship, to learn, to serve and to grow in the christian faith. Our goal is to provide opportunities that will enrich the daily lives and spiritual growth of all our adults and their families.

At the core of every individual’s life is a need for relationships — with God and with God’s people. Our Adult Ministries help you strengthen your relationship with God and others.

We encourage you to share in the love of Christ and each other and to participate in the many Adult Ministries offered at Bellaire UMC.


ARCHIVES - preserves the records of the church for future reference, historical perspective and reflection on the past. 

AUDIO VISUAL - videotapes special events and communications, such as musical performances, plays, video messages, festivals, etc.

COMMUNICATIONS - enhances and improves all modes of communications on behalf of the church, its staff, its ministries and its members.

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP - praises Him through contemporary music and arts, including MediaShout, sound technicians, altar design and praise bands.   

EDUCATION - identifies, monitors, and evaluates the many facets of Christian education and development, including the review of material requested and taught by teachers of all ages.  

EVERY MEMBER IN MINISTRY (EMIM) - ignites lay involvement and incubate passionate leadership by inspiring and enabling church members and worship attendees to become disciples by caring for and sharing God’s gifts through prayer, presence, gifts and service. 

FAMILY MINISTRIES - brings members of the entire church family together in a safe and fun environment.

FESTIVALS - organizes fall and spring events that benefit ministries not funded by the operating budget, and the distribution of funds raised by each.  

FLOWER - arranges flowers to be used each week during Sunday worship services.

LIBRARY - serves the intellectual, personal and spiritual growth of church members through the written word.

OFFICE VOLUNTEERS - assists staff with reception desk, church mail outs, Manna bags, etc.  

STEWARDSHIP - works in conjunction with Every Member in Ministry to promote commitment of members’ time, gifts and talents to the glory of God.  

WORSHIP - works with the church staff to plan and coordinate regular church service activities, to plan and execute larger church celebrations and services, and to develop new worship opportunities.
